Despite wearing their shoegaze influences on their sleeves, Cinder seperate themselves from the first-wave fetishists that sit comfortably in the genre’s recent revival.
Sonically, their music seems ready to collapse in on itself at any moment but that sense of fragility is the core of everything they do; demonstrated with mastery on their debut EP ‘Vows to Boscobel’. It’s all a delicate balance, and Cinder are yet to falter.
Within the fledgling shoegaze scene in Manchester, Cinder have caught the eye of promoters around the north-west, including Slam Dunk, Now Wave, and Liift. Following their sold out headline show at Night & Day they’re capitalising on the momentum with an introspective take on their goals as artists: a new single called ‘Shape’.
